Eden Coffee and Cocoa
Specialty: Coffee and Hot Chocolate
The Gist: “The coffee is great, and you won’t find a better cup of hot chocolate anywhere in the western United States. It’s a great place to swing by on your way up or down the hill.”

Mad Moose Cafe
Specialty: Rough Rider Coffee and a wide variety of hot and iced drinks, wine, and beer, and savory food options.
The Gist: A fantastic go-to for when you and the whole gang is hungry. Everything is made fresh, so wait times vary based on crowds. Their paninis and burgers are both some of the best around, and the salads are fresh. Kids meals include ice cream or cookies.

Carlos and Harleys
Specialty: Award-winning Tex-Mex food served in a historical Utah setting.
The Gist: Sizzling fajitas, burritos, tacos, and every other Tex-Mex option you can conjure up made with fresh ingredients. And like any respectable cantina, it’s a good place to grab an adult beverage, take in a game, and absorb the local culture. The restaurant resides in the Old Town General Store building, which has been a monument of Eden and the Ogden Valley (a.k.a. “the OV”) since the late 1800s.

Pats Food Shack
Specialty: Terrific breakfast and lunch menu, featuring everything from french toast and breakfast burritos and burgers, and sandwiches. A great stop for early-morning meals and big lunches.
The Gist: The sandwich menu is the hallmark, with Philly, Rueben, Club, French Dip, BLTs, Grilled Cheese, chicken wraps and more being among the most popular, but if you like a big morning feast then this is your place too, with pancakes, french toast, omelets, and breakfast burritos. Plenty of options to choose from!

Shooting Star Saloon
Specialty: This legendary watering hole serves up huge portions of atmosphere in a tiny building that dates back to the 1850s. The full bar (must be 21) is also known for its classic hamburgers and hot dogs.
The Gist: Go for the Shooting Star Burger and you won’t be disappointed. This is the most historic landmark in Huntsville, and one of the most historic bars in all of Utah. Bring your cash, because they don’t take credit and you’re not allowed to take the old dollar bills off the roof, or any of the taxidermied animal heads.

Slackwater Pizzeria
Specialty: Artisan pizzas, a nice big beer menu, and live music.
The Gist: One of the finer quality pizza joints in Ogden, with televisions, beer, and bands to keep the senses loaded. And the best part is it’s affordably priced.

The Gist: Arguably home to the best sushi in Utah, located downtown in the historic 25th street district. It’s popular, so give yourself time. Try the Purple Haze Sake, the Gyoza pan-fried pork potstickers, and their Bacon Bubble Gum roll. (Don’t worry, it doesn’t taste like bubble gum.)
